Baby woke up suddenly. The room was still and quiet, but something was different. A shiny, red balloon floated at the foot of Baby’s bed.
With wide eyes, Baby reached out and grabbed the string. WHOOSH! The balloon lifted Baby into the air, out the window, and into the bright blue sky.
Up, up, up they went, past fluffy white clouds and chirpy birds that sang, 'Cheep, cheep, cheep!' It felt like riding a magical swing.
Down below, the town looked tiny, like a toy. Baby could see the school, the park, and even the ice cream shop.
Suddenly, the balloon dipped and bobbed, heading for the park. There, Baby saw animals having a grand picnic!
'Come join us!' said Mr. Squirrel, tapping a tree. 'We’ve got nuts and berries as far as you can see!'
Baby giggled and floated down to the ground. The animals clapped and cheered, making a magical, musical sound.
Just then, a big breeze blew. WHOOSH! The balloon lifted again, and Baby soared away, waving goodbye to each furry friend.
Up, up, up they went, into the sky so high. Past laughing clouds and whispering winds, flying like a kite.
Soon, the balloon began to sink slowly back toward home. Baby landed softly in the crib, snug as a bug in a dome.
Baby looked around and smiled. It had been a magical day. With a big yawn, Baby whispered, 'Goodnight,' and drifted fast away.
The balloon floated by the window, glowing in the moon’s light. Another day of adventure might come with the break of night.
