In a small village nestled by a shimmering river, the children eagerly awaited the magical Loy Krathong festival. Under the twinkling stars, they gathered their colorful flowers and candles.
Little Mai, with her bright eyes and gleaming smile, led the parade of children. She shouted happily, 'Let's make the biggest Krathong, as bright as the sun!'
The kids giggled and sang, 'Loy, Loy, Krathong!' Their voices echoed through the village, mixing with the soft breeze.
They sat by the riverbank, folding banana leaves and arranging the flowers. Tiny candles winked like stars in the moonlight.
Mai’s krathong was the biggest of them all. She whispered to it, 'Float well, my friend. Carry my wishes far, far away!'
Splash! Pop! Fsssh! The krathongs danced on the water, twirling and swirling like magic.
Suddenly, a gleaming fish jumped out of the water, glittering like a jewel. It sang, 'Welcome, little friends, to the festival of light!'
The children gasped, 'Wow! A talking fish!' They clapped and cheered, their eyes wide with wonder.
The fish swam by their krathongs, nudging them gently and making them glow even brighter. 'Your wishes are safe with me,' it sang.
As the night grew darker, the river sparkled with hundreds of glowing krathongs, like a river of stars. The children knew that their wishes would travel to the sky and come true.
Hand in hand, the children sang one last song, 'Loy Krathong, Loy Krathong, float our dreams along!'
The festival had ended, but the children's hearts were full of light and dreams. They whispered to each other, 'Until next Loy Krathong!'
