In a quiet, peaceful place, there lived a monk with a warm, kind face. He planted a pot of orchids with such great care, their vibrant colors dancing in the air.
The orchids grew strong, the orchids grew tall, their beauty was admired by all. The monk was proud of his floral friends, who swayed gracefully in gentle winds.
One sunny day, the monk had to travel far, he needed to go out on business by car. He called a young novice to lend a hand, to care for the orchids in the warm sunniest land.
The novice was diligent, the novice was kind, he watered the flowers with care in mind. The orchids continued to grow and delight, their petals glistening in the soft moonlight.
One cloudy day, the novice had to leave too, he had to run some errands — oh, what to do? He placed the pot by the window with care, hoping the sunshine would be fair.
But oh, surprise! A storm did brew, the wind howled loudly, the skies turned blue. The pot tumbled down with a mighty crash, the orchids were broken in a rain-splashed bash!
When the novice returned, his eyes did widen, he saw the disaster and his feelings he couldn’t hide in. He cried out loud, feeling so blue, he knew the monk loved the orchids too.
Soon the monk returned from his travels afar, his heart was still kind though orchids were scarred. The novice confessed with a tearful face, expecting stern words in this sad place.
The monk just smiled, with eyes so bright, and said, 'I did not plant the orchids to be angry, all right?' The novice was stunned as the monk gave a hug tight, his words were as warm as the sun’s golden light.
From that day on, they both would remember, it wasn’t the orchids but love growing so tender. They learned that things might break and fall, but kindness and care would always stand tall.
So, dear reader, remember this tale, of a monk whose heart would never fail. With love and care, we can all be light, and grow like orchids, beautiful and bright.
The end.
