Once upon a time, in a bright classroom, Amy sat with a big smile.
She had a new friend named Ben, who sat next to her. They both liked drawing cats.
One day, Ben offered Amy a crayon. 'For your cat's eyes,' he said kindly.
Amy accepted the crayon, feeling her cheeks getting warm and her heart fluttering.
At recess, Amy and Ben played together on the swings, laughing and chatting.
While swinging, Ben turned to Amy, 'You're my best friend,' he said, smiling wide.
Amy felt so happy, she couldn't contain it. 'You're my best friend too, Ben!'
After school, they walked out together, talking about the next day's drawing project.
Their friendship grew each day as they helped each other with homework and shared jokes.
Amy realized she felt different around Ben, something special. She felt cared for.
One afternoon, Ben handed Amy a small note that read, 'Thank you for being you.'
Amy hugged the note close. She knew that friendships, like hers and Ben's, were precious.
