Once upon a time, in ancient China, there was a royal family. The emperor and his wives had a son called the prince. In those days, many families didn't want girls because they preferred boys. So every year, the royal family would take in abandoned baby girls from the common people and bring them to the palace. These girls were given special education to serve the prince. They had to obey his every command. From a young age, the prince had a sense of superiority and often ordered the girls around.
The girls were taught to serve the royal family. They wore beautiful clothes and learned how to dance and sing. The prince thought he was very important and liked to show off in front of the girls. He would order them to bring him food, toys, and anything he wanted. The girls had to do it all, even if they didn't want to. They couldn't say no to the prince because he was their master.
As the prince grew older, he became even more demanding. He would wake up the girls early in the morning and make them do chores for him. They had to clean his room, wash his clothes, and even fetch water for him. The girls were tired and sometimes felt sad about their lives. They wished they could have a normal childhood like other children.
One day, a new girl named Mei came to the palace. She was different from the others. Mei was kind-hearted and always had a smile on her face. The prince found her interesting and tried to boss her around like the other girls. But Mei stood up to him and said she wouldn't be treated like a servant. She believed that everyone should be treated with respect.
The prince was surprised by Mei's courage. He started to realize that he had been treating the girls unfairly. He decided to change his ways and treat them with kindness and respect. The girls were happy and relieved. They no longer had to do all the prince's chores and could finally enjoy their lives.
From that day on, the prince and the girls became good friends. They played together and had fun. The prince learned that true friendship is based on equality and kindness. He promised to never order the girls around again and treat them as his equals.
As the years went by, the prince grew up to be a wise and just ruler. He remembered the lessons he had learned from the girls and treated everyone with fairness and respect. The girls, who were no longer servants, became important members of the palace and were valued for their talents and abilities.
And so, they all lived happily ever after, proving that kindness and equality can change lives for the better.
