One sunny day, Sara spotted Tim on the playground. Her heart did a little jump.
Sara and Tim were in the same class. She liked his smile and funny jokes.
Sara wanted to talk to Tim, but shyness made her tummy twirl like leaves in the wind.
One day, Sara drew a smiley face on a paper and wrote, 'Hi, Tim!' with a big red heart.
She slipped the note in Tim's desk and hoped he would find it and smile.
At lunch, Tim found the note. His eyes sparkled, and he looked around, wondering who sent it.
After school, Sara was at her locker when Tim walked over with a big smile.
'Did you send this? It's really nice,' said Tim, showing the note. Sara blushed and nodded.
They started talking. Tim liked comics and soccer. Sara liked books and drawing.
They laughed a lot. Sara didn't feel that shy anymore. Tim thought Sara was cool.
From then on, they talked every day. Sara was glad she sent the note. Tim was glad too.
Sara learned that sometimes, a little bravery could lead to a great friendship.
