Once in a land of timeless beauty, there was a castle. In it, a kind king and queen were blessed with a baby girl, whom they named Princess Rose. They planned a grand party to celebrate her birth.
They invited everyone in the kingdom, except for one spiteful fairy. The fairy was very angry and went to the castle on the day of the party, not to celebrate, but to cast a mean spell.
During the party, the fairy appeared! She said, 'When Princess Rose turns sixteen, she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall asleep forever!' Then she vanished.
Everyone gasped. But a kind fairy who was there said, 'I can't undo the whole curse, but I can soften it. Instead of sleeping forever, she will awaken with true love’s kiss.'
The king ordered for all spinning wheels to be banished from the kingdom. Princess Rose grew up, loved by everyone for her kindness and grace.
Years flew by and soon Princess Rose turned sixteen. Despite the king's orders, she found an old spinning wheel in a tower and pricked her finger.
Instantly, she fell into a deep sleep, and so did everyone else in the castle. A thick forest grew around the castle, shielding it from the outside world.
Many princes tried to reach the castle, but the forest was too dense. It seemed that the spell might never be broken.
One day, a prince heard about the sleeping princess. Unlike others, he had a pure heart. He approached the forest and it let him through.
The prince found Princess Rose and was struck by her beauty and the peaceful expression she wore. He knew then that he had already begun to love her.
Remembering the curse, the prince gently kissed Princess Rose on her forehead. As if touched by magic, she opened her eyes! The curse was lifted!
The whole castle woke up, and there was joy and laughter everywhere. The king and queen were so grateful to the prince. Soon after, a grand wedding was celebrated.
Princess Rose and the prince, now king and queen, ruled the land with kindness. Their love story was told throughout the kingdom, giving everyone hope and happiness.
