Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a slow-moving tortoise named Toby.
One day, a rabbit named Harry saw Toby on his slow stroll and laughed, 'You are the slowest creature I have ever seen!'
Feeling bold, Harry challenged Toby to a race. 'I bet I’ll reach the old oak tree before you take ten steps!' he declared.
Toby simply nodded. 'Let’s have a fair race,' he said. 'May the best one win.'
With a cheer from the crowd, the race began! Harry bolted ahead, quick as lightning, while Toby moved at his steady pace.
Before long, Harry was far ahead. He looked back and saw Toby inching along. 'I'm so far ahead, I can take a quick nap,' thought Harry.
Harry found a cozy spot under a tree and fell asleep. Meanwhile, Toby kept walking, slow and steady, focused on the path.
Toby, unwavering in his pace, came closer and closer to the finish line.
Harry suddenly woke up, realizing he had slept too long! He runs fast towards the old oak tree.
Harry runs fast but slips on the snowy road.
With the last bit of distance covered, Toby touched the old oak tree. The animals erupted in applause. Toby had won the race!
Harry hung his head, feeling embarrassed. 'You've taught me a valuable lesson, Toby. Never underestimate someone's determination,' he admitted.
