Reflection Questions
In a colorful town named Rainbowville, everyone loved to celebrate differences. It was a special place.
Tommy, with bright green eyes, noticed some friends were sad. 'Why?' he asked his mom.
His mom explained, 'Alex doesn't feel welcome. He was born a girl but feels like a boy.'
Tommy was confused. 'But can't Alex just be Alex?' he wondered aloud.
His mom nodded. 'Yes, but not everyone understands. It's hard for Alex sometimes.'
'Let's invite Alex over!' Tommy decided. He wanted to show he cares about Alex.
The next day, Tommy and Alex sat in the park. 'You're my friend, no matter what,' said Tommy.
'Really?' Alex looked surprised. 'Some kids at school are mean to me,' he shared.
'That's not fair!' Tommy exclaimed. 'We're all different, that’s what makes Rainbowville special!'
They decided to make a big rainbow poster saying, 'Be You, Be True, Rainbowville.'
Working together, they hung it in school. Some kids smiled; others just stared.
A teacher saw it and smiled. 'Let’s talk about this in class,' she said. The kids learned about diversity.
Soon, others joined Alex and Tommy, and the town became full of love and acceptance for everyone.
