Hi, I'm Scorpio Boy! Today was super special because while playing at Moonlight Park, I saw someone new. She was making awesome sandcastles and giggling like the soft waves on the beach. I wondered who she was.

I peeked over my comic book; her smile was like sunshine! I felt braver, so I walked over, holding my favorite red kite. She peeked up and her eyes sparkled like stars. 'Hi, I'm Cancer Girl!' she said with a big smile.

We talked about our favorite things. I love mysteries, and she loves stories about mermaids. She showed me her charm bracelet. It had a little crab and many shiny stones. 'It's magical,' she whispered. I believed her.

I dared to ask Cancer Girl if she wanted to fly my kite with me. She nodded and we ran across the field. The kite soared high, like our laughter. 'You're good at this!' she beamed, her cheeks rosy like apple candy.

Then, a puppy came dashing by, making us stumble and fall on the soft grass. We giggled as the puppy tickled us with little licks. The puppy had a collar that read 'Lucky'. 'That's a great name,' she chuckled.

After the puppy had scampered away, we decided to get juice at the park café. We sat under a big tree and shared stories. Cancer Girl liked my jokes, even though I was a bit shy telling them.

It was getting dark, and we saw the first star appear. 'We should make a wish,' Cancer Girl said. We closed our eyes, and I wished that maybe, just maybe, I had just met my new best friend.
