In a village nestled between mountains and rivers lived a boy named Boon. Life in the village was full of color and joy.
Every morning, Boon heard the cheerful chorus of “kok-kok-ka-ko” from the roosters. Dawn was full of song!
“Time to make merit!” his grandma said, smiling brightly. Boon and his family got ready to give alms.
With a whoosh and a whirl, the village market came alive. Baskets of sticky rice, fruits, and flowers overflowed!
Boon saw the monks in their saffron robes, walking quietly through the streets like peaceful rivers of gold.
“Sawadee!” Boon greeted the monks, bowing low with his palms together. His heart felt light as a feather!
The village children gathered around the ancient Bodhi tree. It was the perfect spot to build sand pagodas!
They giggled as they crafted towers tall and short, dreaming of imaginary kingdoms and magic courts.
Boon’s pagoda was perfect, with tiny leaf flags fluttering in the breeze. It looked just like the real temples!
As the sun set, Boon and his friends made a wish under the purple twilight. The stars blinked like magic fireflies.
They ended the day around a fire, listening to Grandma’s tales of yesteryears. Her stories were the best!
Boon’s eyes grew heavy, filled with dreams of sunlit mornings, monks like rivers of gold, and sand pagodas touching the sky.
