Galactic Buddies' Cosmic Quest

story image
We blast off into space, past stars and bright moons. Sam, my best pal, grins as our ship zooms. We see aliens with three eyes, and some with just one. Their ships, swift as light, zip and glide for fun.
"Be kind," I say to strange Martian kin. They nod but do not speak, just beam a wide grin.
We float by the sun, wave at each bright ray. "Do you wish to stay?" asks Sam. "Not today."
Back home on the green Earth, dreams of space drift in heads. We sleep sound in our beds, stars twinkle, goodnights said.
