The Melodic Dinosaur

story image
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, a big, fat dinosaur did live. But don’t be so quick to judge! This wasn't a bad dinosaur. No, no, he was a bit of a gem, a dinosaur not to miss out on.
His name was Bob, just Bob. A bit simple, don't you think? But Bob didn't mind. Being simple made him fit in with the rest of us, don't you see? Bob was a chap, a comrade, a buddy even.
Bob was not a typical dinosaur, you see... he did love to hum a tune! Not a roar, not a rumble, but a soft lilting melody. It may be odd, but Bob found joy in it.
"Hey Bob," the birds would sing back. "Do play us your song!" And Bob would, with a great big grin on his face. He was no menace, but a friend with a voice.
Bob did love to dance, too. You wouldn't think it, his legs so big, his tail so long. But Bob would show you. He wasn't just a dinosaur who could sing, but one who could swish and twirl, too!
One day, Bob did see a puddle. He tapped a toe in and began to dance. This wasn't any dance, but a jig; a jig all his own. And the birds did join in, twittering tunes along with Bob's hums.
There you have it, a dinosaur like no kid, no man has ever seen. A dinosaur named Bob. He may not roar. He may not rumble. But, oh boy, can Bob dance and sing! A sight to behold, a tale to be told, a dinosaur named Bob.
And so ends our tale, of our dear friend named Bob. Be it odd or be it fun, remember one thing; never forget a friend named Bob. For who would frown upon such a sight? A dinosaur named Bob, a sight to remember, indeed!
