Molly woke up with a jump and a wiggle, her tummy filled with giggles. Today was the day, oh hooray, hooray! Her first day of school, hip-hip-hooray!
She brushed her teeth with a scrubbity-scrub, and put on her dress with a tug and a rub. She ate her breakfast, mmm, yum-yum, and dashed to the door when she heard the hum.
Outside, the sun beamed with a warm, yellow glow, tickling her nose as she skipped to and fro. The birds chirped a song, 'cheep cheep, cheep cheep,' as Molly danced along the street.
The school was like a castle, tall and grand. Molly felt like a queen in the magical land. She met her teacher, Miss Lolly Loo, who wore shoes that were shiny and blue.
Miss Lolly Loo smiled with a sparkle in her eye and said, 'Welcome, dear Molly! You're in for a surprise.' The classroom was colorful, bright, and so neat, full of friends that she couldn't wait to meet.
They sang songs about ABCs, with claps, snaps, and glees. They counted to ten with a hop and a spin, and read funny rhymes that made them all grin.
At recess, Molly played with Jack and Jill, on the see-saw and slide, oh what a thrill! They laughed and ran, tag-you're-it, the playground was their enchanted fit.
Back inside, they painted rainbows in the sky, with brushes flying like butterflies. They built castles with blocks, oh so high, and drew pictures of elephants wearing ties.
By the end of the day, Molly’s heart was so full. She had learned, she had laughed, and she felt so cool. Miss Lolly Loo said, 'You did great today, so many more adventures are on the way!'
Molly skipped home with a smile so wide, holding the memories she had inside. 'School is a magical place,' she thought, dreams twinkling bright, with adventures she had yet to be sought.
