The Counting Code Club

Hi there! My name is Alex. I want to tell you a cool story about something I did recently. It all started when I joined the Counting Code Club. At the club, we learn about coding while having lots of fun! Want to hear more? Let's get started!

Every week, we have a coding lesson with our teacher, Ms. Lily. She is really nice and patient. She teaches us how to write computer programs using special codes. We use something called 'Scratch' which is an awesome platform for beginners like us. With Scratch, we can create games, animations, and interactive stories! Isn't that amazing?

One day, Ms. Lily gave us a special assignment. She wanted us to create a program that can help us practice counting. I thought it was a fantastic idea because counting is important and helps us in many everyday situations. I felt responsible and ready for the challenge!

I sat in front of the computer, ready to code. First, I had to learn some basic commands like 'repeat' and 'say'. With 'repeat', I could tell the computer to do something multiple times. With 'say', I could make the computer speak. I practiced and practiced until I got the hang of it.

Once I felt confident, I started creating my counting program. I wanted a program that could count from 1 to 10. So, I used the 'repeat' command and told the computer to 'say' each number as it counted. It was so exciting to see my program come to life!

After finishing my program, I tested it out. Guess what? It worked perfectly! The computer started counting from 1, and I heard it say each number until it reached 10. I was so proud of myself! I showed it to Ms. Lily and my friends at the Counting Code Club. They were impressed by my coding skills.
