At the edge of Lake Lucky, where the water glimmered bright, lived a creature so mysterious, seen rarely in daylight.
They called him Munchy Monster, with scales glittering blue, he preferred splashing at sunset but at dawn he’d bid adieu.
Boats glided on the water, rippling with gentle glee, until one day a small canoe went missing after tea.
Captain Biddy was alarmed, 'Where could my boat be? The Munchy Monster of Lake Lucky must be behind this mystery!
Off he went with a plan, clever as could be, to track down that blue-scaled monster and find his floating spree.
Splash! The lake began to rumble, bubbles big and small, then up jumped Munchy Monster, with a burp did he enthrall.
'Ahoy!' cried out the Captain, 'You’ve stolen my canoe, but if you return it nicely, I’ll bring you snacks to chew.'
Munchy Monster’s eyes grew bright, he gulped with great delight. He said, 'Oh! I didn’t know it was yours, I thought it was a toy for my bites!'
They struck a deal that day, with promises to keep, the boat was returned safely, and treats stacked up a heap.
Now every evening at sunset, with snacks stacked by the shore, they’d share tales of adventure, and wonders galore.
Lake Lucky was a happy lake, with friends both big and small, for even monsters with munchy tummies need friends after all.
And so the legend grows, 'bout the friendship so spry. Of Captain Biddy and Munchy, under the lucky sky.
